Hop aboard the town’s most iconic resident, “Milly the Trolley,” for a fully narrated tour of Milledgeville’s historic district!

Featuring grand architecture, beautiful squares, and historic neighborhoods, the sixty-minute tour provides an overview of Milledgeville’s history during its sixty-eight-year period as the capital city of Georgia. During the tour, guests will cruise the historic district via trolley and be escorted on a guided walk through the former statehouse square and St. Stephens Episcopal Church, consecrated in 1843.


Trolley tours are hosted on Friday and Saturday at 10 a.m., depart from the Milledgeville Visitor Information Center, and are offered rain or shine.

Tickets are $12 per person. Pre-purchased tickets are encouraged and may be arranged in person or by calling 478-452-4687.


Please note, the trolley is ADA compliant but moderate mobility is recommended for those who wish to disembark at the statehouse square and St. Stephens Episcopal Church.

Le Pied Du Mont Boucherie Festival

The annual Le Pied Du Mont Boucherie Festival is a two-day educational event, designed to bring the community together to witness the craft of our butchers, farmers, and chefs who work together throughout the growing season to prepare seasonal and delicious meals from local, sustainable and organic sources. (This event is held on a working farm, ot an events only farm. )

This festival serves as a fundraiser and educational gathering of Butchers, Chefs, Farmers and Veterans coming together to celebrate the start of our growing season. Most importantly, they aim to support the STAG VETS INC Agro-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy program to help combat veterans transition effectively into civilian life on our facility Comfort Farms, the nation’s first Veterans Acute Crisis Agriculture Center.

Echoes of MLK: Activism, Disobedience, and Rights in the 21st Century

Georgia College & State University and community partners will present, "Echoes of MLK: Activism, Disobedience, and Rights in the 21st Century - MLK, Jr. Community Breakfast," Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, from 7:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in the Magnolia Ballroom. In honor of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., GGSU invites the campus and Milledgeville community to join them as they host essay competition winners from the local schools. Their essays will reflect the concept of this year’s theme within our nation and the Milledgeville/Baldwin County community.

The Lake Oconee Quilt Guild Exhibit runs January 8–28, 2025. Get ready to be inspired by the artistry, creativity, and passion of local quilters who weave stories into every stitch.

Since 2003, the Lake Oconee Quilt Guild has brought together talented quilters from across the region. With national award-winning designs and vibrant, intricate patterns, this exhibit is a must-see celebration of tradition and innovation.

Don’t miss the reception on January 10 from 5–7 PM to meet the artists behind these stunning creations!
