Young Scientists Academy (YSA) Program through Georgia College’s Science Education Center provides students an opportunity to explore the many facets of university-level research.

What is Young Scientists Academy? In some cases, YSA interns submit their work to national science conferences like the American Chemical Society’s National Conference.

Throughout the six weeks of the program, students participate in weekly workshops with the YSA Director who provides insight into the scientific process, research ethics, how to read a research paper, how to make a poster, and how to network in the science and engineering fields. There are also sessions on college admission strategies and programs.
